Lenin and people like him formed such country that it is still haunting people. I can understand the Russians. Some of them are still crying over him and I have heard many times: “Did we live poorly?” It is not surprising that they cannot give up this Soviet symbol and in Brazil they are wearing T-shirts and caps with hammer and sickle on them. By the way, several years ago I saw people in Georgia who wore T-shirts with “USSR” inscription. I really do not know whether it was nostalgia or something else.
At the press conference of Colombia-Uruguay match I noticed one of the journalists wearing T-shirt with the same inscription. At first I thought he was Russian and I was not surprised. But then, he turned out to be South American, Colombian or Uruguayan. I took a picture of him and he was very happy. When I asked him – Do you know what the Soviet Union is? – he was very surprised. South America does not lack the communist ideas but he really did not know what the Soviet Union was. I briefly explained him what this country was. Of course, I said nothing good. He could not understand the reason for my hatred toward the Soviet Union. He smiled and said to me: “I am not interested in policy. I am just a football fan”.
Of course, it is not my business what people will wear, especially in South America, but this USSR is unacceptable.
