This is the German “blitzkrieg”. It is miracle to beat the Brazilian national team in 20 minutes in semifinal of World Cup in Brazil. The Germans did it and the football players and the fans will remember this triumph in Belo Horizonte for a long time. Of course, it is “snakebite” in the Brazilian football history.

People often argue which football school is better: Brazilian or German. Everything happens in football and people watched Brazil losing 1:7 but I do not think the Brazilians will manage to beat the Germans with the same score at Mundial in the nearest future.

Nobody would have predicted that Brazil would lose with such score. The Brazilian national team has lost at Mundial but it has never been in such bad situation. Nobody has lost semifinal with such score before and the Brazilians established record.

Miroslav Klose of Germany improved the achievement of “The Phenomenon” Ronaldo and is all-time top scorer of Mundial with 16 goals. Perhaps, it was symbolic that Klose broke the record of the Brazilian in the match against Brazil.

Before the match the whole Brazil was worrying about the absence of Neymar but central defender Thiago Silva turned out to be a great loss for the team. The Brazilians had not made so many mistakes in defense during the whole tournament. No one denies that weak play of Brazil is a merit of Germany. The Germans had a good start at World Cup. First they ousted Portugal and now Brazil. The Germans scored such goals that would satisfy the taste of any fan. In the end, Brazilian “Torcida” applauded the Germans and even shouted “Ole, Ole”. After the goal of Oscar, the Brazilians were a little bit happy.

On the match day it was raining in Rio de Janiero but fans went to “FIFA Fan Fest”. There were adults, old people and families with children. Everybody was dressed in Brazilian T-shirts. Before the match they danced and sang a lot. After four goals some Brazilians left “FIFA Fan Fest”. Those who stayed watched the match without saying anything. Thousands of Brazilians watched how their favorite team “collapsed”. Some women were even crying.

After the match Oscar was crying so hard that Luiz Felipe Scolari could not comfort him. David Luiz, who captained the team apologized the fans. By the way, after the match “Felipao” gathered the Brazilians and the football players thanked spectators but they received whistle in response.

After this failure “fathers” of the Brazilian football will have to think a lot. The team does not have resource and Scolari does not have a good substitute. There was time when top scorers Elber and Jardel could not get in the Brazilian national team and now “Pentacampeoes” could not find a better central forward than Fred. Before the championship, the Brazilians, including Pele, stated defense was better than offence in the Brazilian national team.

It is worth mentioning that after the first goal energetic Brazilian commentators were talking “one tone” lower and after each goal they were saying “shock, shock”.

The time has gone when after the failure of the Brazilian national team the fans fainted or in the worst case died. I have not seen anything like this in Rio de Janeiro. Of course, the fans were disappointed but they did not lack appetite of eating and drinking beer. As it is said, life goes on.

The German fans were very happy. They had a reason for it.

In short, the Brazilian national team held some bad matches home. In 1950 Brazil lost to Uruguay (1:2) in the final. Now the Brazilians received “football shock” from the Germans. I do not think they will ever ask for hosting World Cup again.
