Two hours are left before the start of France-Ecuador match and “boiling point” has increased at “Maracana”. If only Ecuadorian fans were seen in the morning, now the French have also showed up.
The street is blocked in front of stadium. The Ecuadorian fans are on one side and the French – on the other side. The police are in the middle to avoid any misunderstanding.
I witnessed such picture, the Ecuadorians were shouting: “Ecuador, Ecuador”, and the French were singing “La Marseillaise”. The both sides are supporting their teams but incident does not occur between them. They are competing only in singing, shouting and waving flags. There are lots of fans dressed in original clothes.
