Joachim Low, head coach of the German national team, denied information about the transfer of Toni Kroos to “Real” Madrid.

One day before the match against France, Low stated at the press conference that nobody has contacted Kroos from “Real”.

Low noted that after the match against Algeria the German players had sore throat. It was caused by high temperature outside and air conditioners in the buildings. Now everybody feels good. Hummels and Schweinsteiger will play in the upcoming match. Neither Khedira has problems. I witnessed 15-20 minutes of the Germans’ practice and everybody is in form.

Low noted he is not satisfied with the play against Algeria in 1/8 final. As for France, the German head coach called the opponent a solid team. According to him, there are high level players in the French national team.

Low does not care about the criticism from the German media. He even joked: “I have arrived in Brazil and I do not read German newspapers”. He also added that a lot of teams went back home, the Germans are still in Brazil and they want to stay there till the end.

The German specialist was asked if legionaries in the Spanish, English and Italian leagues make their national teams weak. He replied that situation is balanced in Germany and the country has many young talented players.

Brazilian journalist asked Low if the host team was under psychological pressure. The German thinks the Brazilian football players are used to it in their clubs.

Low left the press conference and Kroos showed up. He was also asked about “Real” and the German midfielder laughed: “I only saw photos in the newspapers”. The German also stated that he is concentrated only on the upcoming match.

Kroos was asked if Lahm would play in midfield or defense. According to Kroos, it is up to the coach. The German named teammate goalkeeper Neuer the best at the current World Cup. He also highlighted brilliance of Ozil.

Kroos also praised “Maracana” and hopes the German national team will return to this stadium after the match against France.
