Besides the fact that Germany became world champion for the fourth time, the German team wrote the new page in the history of world football. Until now, the European team has not won the World Cup on South American continent.

The Germans and the Argentines met each other twice in the finals. In 1986, the Argentines won 3:2 and in 1990 the Germans- 1:0. This time Germany won again and regained the Cup after 24 years.

Messi became the best player of the World Cup, who accepted the prize without much joy. Manuel Neuer was recognized as the best goalkeeper and Colombian James Rodriguez became top scorer, who scored 6 goals.

During the closing ceremony of the World Cup, the tribunes were full and the fans of Argentina and Germany were singing. After some time, Diego Maradona came to the stadium, who refused to take a seat in the VIP box and sat on the rostrum, where the Argentines were. Of course, the Argentines did not miss this opportunity and performed a song in his honor.

Former captain of “Barcelona” Carles Puyol and the famous model Gisele Bundchen took the FIFA World Cup out to the stadium.

Sami Khedira was in lineup, but while warm-up he got injured and was replaced by Christoph Kramer. Angel di Maria was recovered, but Sabella did not allow him play.

At the 30th minute, after the goal of Higuan, the Argentines almost destroyed the stadium, but the referee fixed the offside.

Kramer got trauma in the middle of the half and was replaced by Andre Surrle, who at the 37th minute dangerously hit after the assist of Tomas Muller, but Romero repulsed it.

At the 39th minute, Lionel Messi made through to the opponent’s penalty area, however could not perform the attack and neither Ezuquiel Lavezzi could reach the ball. At the 45th minute, after corner-kick of Kroos, Benedikt Howedes kicked by head and the ball hit the log.

At the second minute of the second half, Lucas Biglia made a good assist to Messi, but the goal was not scored. At the 57th minute, when Neuer and Higuan crashed, the referee fixed attack on the goalkeeper. This caused indignation, at first the fans cursed Nicola Rizzoli and then chanted “Argentina, Argentina”. The Germans also shouted “Deutschland, Deuschland”, but they could not be equal to Argentines.

At the 82th minute, after Mesut Ozil’s assist from the right, Kroos was unable to score. At the 83th minute, half-naked man ran out to the field, who was detained soon.

At the first minute of extra time, Surrle hit from a good position and Romero easily repulsed. At the 96th minute, after a brilliant assist of Markos Rojo, Rodrigo Palacio found himself alone at the Germans goal, but he could not do anything.

At the 113th minute, after Surrle’s passing from the left, Mario Gotze took the ball on his chest and scored 1:0. Finally, Gotze was named as the best player of the match.

After the game, before getting silver medals, the German players made corridor for the Argentines and then the Germans got the gold medals. Everything ended with a grand fireworks, but the Argentines did not watch the others celebration and went to the dressing room.
